was a rescue from Helen Woodward Center, and
at 7 months was very timid and not at all
trained. Through his training at Markim with
Salem Flores, he has achieved a very high
level of obedience and socialization. He
has AKC titles in Novice(CD), Open(CDX),
Utility Dog(UD), two legs in Utility
Excellent(UDX), as well as Tracking Dog(TD),
and is working on UDX, TDX, VST, and VER. Our
new addition to the family is Warroo, a female
Red Heeler, who finished her CGC at 4 months,
and now at a year old is prepared to trial in
Novice next month at all the local trials.
Besides the excellent training, Markim Pet
Resort is the ONLY facility where I will board
my dogs, where they receive personalized
treatment in very comfortable surroundings.

Shepherd, Jade. She was exhibiting fear
aggression towards other dogs and I could
not control her. Salem’s evaluation revealed
that this was compounded with severe
separation anxiety, but that there was hope.
We started working with Salem, and the trainers
at Markim, and they have taught me and helped us
so much. Jade and I have worked hard together
and the improvements have been inspiring. To
date, we can be around other dogs where she is
calm and relaxed. Jade has earned her AKC Canine
Good Citizen certification and we are beginning
to start entering AKC competitions. The
difference is more than I ever would have

Best place ever. I have a 125 lb rott who
LOVES this place. He gets so excited every

and takes EXCELLENT care of him. The longest
amount of time he was there was 2 1/2 weeks
and he was as healthy as could be when I
picked him up and his bad his was not even

"We love Markim and have been taking our
dog here for about 4 years now! Markim
offers a day camp (which we used to go to
when Havi was a puppy) and a boarding
facility. We probably board Havi about
once or twice a year and I know I am
leaving her in good hands. I pay extra for
additional playtime. They always give her
a bath before I pick her up. So she is
always smelling clean and fresh and looks
healthy and happy when I get her. I also
call in and check on her when I am away and
they actually take the time to check her
file and see how she is eating and playing,
etc. I really feel like they care about the
pets that are staying there and treat them
well. I also think the facility is massive
and the dogs are just happier there! They
offer free tours, I suggest checking it out."

"Took our dogs there for the first time a
couple of years ago and we were so nervous!
It was the first time we had ever boarded
our dogs. We looked at other places but many
kennels near us have indoor only and we
really feel like dogs need to get out in the
fresh air and run a muck! They gave us a tour.
When we picked up the pups, they were washed
and super happy! We've since used them on and
off and each time have become more comfortable
leaving our dogs there. We love the fake turf
yard---one of our guys has severe grass
allergies."

"This is a good place that will take excellent
care of your pups. When you arrive, you'll
see that the grounds are IMPECCABLE. Markim
has been a savior to us since we adopted our
dog, Oliver. He has a lot of energy and Camp
Run-a-Muck gives him the opportunity to burn
some of it off. We feel comfortable boarding
Oliver at Markim when we have to go out of town.
The staff is professional, and they really make
you feel like your dog will be safe and cared for
while your pet is there. Overall, a clean,
organized, friendly & dog-loving staff that

"I absolutely love this place! I am very
paranoid about where I leave my child, so
I did a lot of research on-line and talking
to people at work. I really wanted a place
for daycare and also had overnight
accommodations so my pup wouldn't be with
strangers when I left her. Well, Siena has
been going to camp for about a year now I
think and she absolutely LOVES it! She's
never gotten hurt or sick from being there
and they always give me a full report of her
activities (she tends to hang out with the
people for some cuddle time in the afternoon
unless she hasn't been to camp in a while
then she's has too much socializing to do.)
I've used them for boarding as well and I
felt super comfortable. Especially when I
called and they put me on hold so I could get
the detailed report of my kid's activities so
far! So freaking cute...and much appreciated!"
